PEACE EDUCATION TRAINING AT UMOJA INTERNATIONAL FRENCH SCHOOL

Thanks to the partnership between PADEAP-Uganda and Umoja international French school, A Peace Education Training was conducted at the School on the 28th/04/2008.

The aim of the training was to promote behaviour change and peacefull coexistance among the participants and the communities they live and work in.

Umoja Internation French School as the name suggests is an international school with people from differenethnic backgrounds like Rwanda, D.R Congo, Burundi and Uganda.

The training aimed to give the participants a background to the education of peace, the concept of peace and conflict, the types of peace and conflict, the functionality of conflict and conflict management.

PADEAP-Uganda assured the participants of its determination to continue working with Umoja Intrnational french School and other institutions by offering training in Peace Education, Sexual Gender based Violence and HIV/AIDS .
